About

I live in rural Brittany with my family, where I split my time between building things, being outdoors, and helping companies sort out their data infrastructure.

What I Care About

A few things that genuinely interest me:

• Data done right: I've spent 20 years building data systems and teams, and I still find the craft interesting and exciting. Not the buzzwords—the actual engineering of making data useful, reliable, and not a nightmare to maintain.
• Building or coaching over managing: I've led large teams and while I'm proud of that work, I'm happier when I'm helping collaboratively create and teaching others. Code, infrastructure, systems that actually work; skills and knowledge to take it further.
• Independence: Owning my own stack, running my own services, not being dependent on platforms I don't control. There's something satisfying about understanding how things work end-to-end.
• Curiosity-driven work: I'm at a point where I selectively choose what to work on. I'm mostly working on projects that teach me something new or require me to develop new skills.

What I Spend Time On

• Home infrastructure: Self-hosted services, networking, automation: the ongoing project of owning my own computing environment and using technology to enhance my daily life.
• AI tooling: Building with LLMs, running local inference, figuring out what's actually useful versus what's just hype.
• Sports: Running and cycling mostly, but also weightlifting and yoga. Using data to understand what my body is doing.
• Side projects: Tools and apps that scratch an itch. Some ship, some don't—the process is the point.

Background

I spent two decades in data—most recently building and leading teams at Miro and Navan. I've done strategy, team building, and hands-on engineering. These days I keep my hand in through selective consulting work with companies doing interesting things. More on that here →
